About UniQ Skates

In 1947, E.W. Ramsey (along with two others) built a roller-skating rink in Roanoke, VA. He soon started buying supplies for other rinks in the area, and Southeastern Skate Supply grew into a separate business. Today we have two locations (Roanoke, VA and Mableton, GA) and supply skates and equipment all over the United States.

Currently Southeastern Skate Supply VA is owned and operated by Glenn Ramsey Jr, the grandson of E.W. Ramsey, while Southeastern Skate Supply GA is owned and operated by David Ramsey. The family roots run deep in the skating community.

For the first time in the company’s history, Southeastern has developed their own brand of skates. Their main business continues to be buying and selling skates /equipment nationwide. However, they found a void in their offerings that enticed the birth of UniQ Skates.

“We are excited to work with Doug Glass to create a new line of high-performance skates under the Uniq brand designed specifically for the most demanding skaters”. -Genn Ramsey Jr.

The UniQ brand derived from its unique fit, function, design, development and aesthetics. Slogan, Originally Different.

The capital Q stands for QUALITY: When you see the Q, you know it’s a quality product. UniQ goes above and beyond to ensure impeccable quality and service.
